NBL Statement

The National Basketball League (NBL) is aware of a training incident involving Adelaide 36ers' player, Benjamin Griscti at AIS Arena on Saturday afternoon.

Griscti is in a stable condition in hospital.

The circumstances surrounding the incident will be investigated.

The NBL advises that currently, Blitz games scheduled for August 30 will continue.

The Adelaide 36ers have released the following statement:

Adelaide 36ers centre Ben Griscti won’t feature in tonight’s CODE Sports NBL Blitz game against Tasmania after suffering a neck injury at training earlier today.

Ben was injured in a training incident at the team’s shoot around at the AIS Arena.

He was taken to hospital in good spirits and in a stable condition, with scans to confirm the extent of the injury.

The 23-year-old will not be replaced in tonight’s lineup.

The 36ers will take on the JackJumpers from 7:45pm ACST / 8:15pm AEST.
