A final release of NBAxNBL Melbourne Series tickets goes on sale Monday, September 15.

The countdown is on for fans to secure their seats at the NBAxNBL Melbourne Series, with final tickets set to go on sale on Monday, September 15.

The first allocation of tickets was exhausted following overwhelming demand, with more than 50,000 fans pre-registering for early access. Interest has been unprecedented for the New Orleans Pelicans’ historic trip to Australia to take on Melbourne United and South East Melbourne Phoenix at Rod Laver Arena this October. This is the last chance to secure seats for the first NBA games held on Australian soil.

The four-day showcase will also feature a Pelicans Open Training on Thursday, October 2 with a special appearance by NBA Champion Ray Allen, as well as the NBAxNBL Melbourne Series Fan Night on Saturday, October 4. Fan Night will celebrate all-things basketball with appearances from the Pelicans, United and Phoenix players, Ray Allen, a skills challenge, three-point contest, half-court shooting contest, mascot appearances, the Pelicans Dance Team, and a live performance by ARIA Award-winning singer-songwriter Tones And I.

Victorian Minister for Tourism, Sport and Major Events, Steve Dimopoulos said, “This is a great opportunity for basketball fans to see the stars of the game up close, providing a major boost for our local businesses in the process.

“As the major events capital of the country we are delivering an Australian first and giving fans and families a once-in-a-lifetime experience, right here in Melbourne.”

Alex Hamilton, NBL Chief Events Officer, added: “We’re delighted to be able to release a very limited number of additional tickets for both games, giving more fans the chance to be part of this historic series. The demand has been phenomenal, and it’s fantastic that even more supporters will now get to experience the New Orleans Pelicans taking on Melbourne United and the South East Melbourne Phoenix on Australian soil.”

Limited tickets are still available for the Pelicans' Open Training on Thursday, October 2, and the NBAxNBL Fan Night on Saturday, October 4.
