Sydney Kings
The Sydney Kings are an Australian men's professional basketball team competing in the National Basketball League. The Kings were formed from a merger between the West Sydney Westars and the Sydney Supersonics in October 1987. The Kings have won five NBL championships in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2022 and 2023.
Adelaide 36ers
The Adelaide 36ers are an Australian professional men's basketball team in the National Basketball League NBL. The 36ers are the only team in the league representing the state of South Australia and are based in the state's capital of Adelaide. The 36ers tally of four championships is equal with the New Zealand Breakers, and fourth overall. As of 2023, the 36ers are the only NBL team to defeat a team from the National Basketball Association NBA, having beaten the Phoenix Suns 134–124 in a pre-season game on the October 2nd, 2022.
The annual tournament honours the late Pavlos Giannakopoulos, a legendary figure in European basketball and long-time Panathinaikos president. The 2025 tournament will be the seventh iteration of the tournament.
The two European teams will first play each other on Thursday the 18th of September at John Cain Arena, before competing in a four-team tournament with the Sydney Kings and Adelaide 36ers on Sunday the 21st and Monday the 22nd at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney. Both European teams will play both NBL teams during the two nights in Sydney. You will receive immediate confirmation via email once your order has been completed.
