Larry Kestleman

Executive Director

Larry Kestelman is an entrepreneur with an expanding portfolio of successful companies. He was the founder of telecommunications and utilities provider, Dodo, and as Executive Group Chairman of the LK Group has become synonymous with his vision for success across the technology, property and sporting landscape.

In 2015 he assumed ownership of the Hungry Jack’s National Basketball League and has overseen a period of unprecedented growth for the league over its 45-year history including record attendances and broadcast audiences and the entry of new clubs South East Melbourne Phoenix and the Tasmania JackJumpers.

In addition to his impressive business and sporting credentials, he is widely involved in the community and has won a variety of awards and recognitions for his achievements in supporting multiple charities and community initiatives.

David Stevenson

Chief Executive Officer

David began his role as NBL Group CEO in May 2023. He came to the League with a wealth of leadership experience both in Australia and Internationally have previously held positions at the AFL as General Manager of Operations, the Western Bulldogs as CEO and Nike as VP & GM of Emerging Markets.

During seven years at the AFL and 17 years at Nike, Stevenson held many senior executive positions in sports, commercial, operations, and retail both in Australia, China, Hong Kong, USA and Global responsibilities with $5b revenue responsibility.

Stevenson also has strong governance experience as the board chair of Oral Health Victoria, the Victorian state government health service.

During his tenure as CEO, the league has seen record growth in broadcast, attendance, digital, database and media metrics in the NBL, as well as the acquisition of the WNBL in partnership with Wollemi Capital Group and securing other key events including the NBA team visit with the New Orleans Pelicans, Euroleague teams and creation of the HoopsFest concept.

Vince Crivelli

Chief Operating Officer & Head of Basketball Operations

Vince Crivelli is a senior sports executive with a proven track record of leading high-performance organisations, building commercial value, and delivering sustained growth across elite professional sport. Over the course of his career, Vince has contributed across every major facet of the basketball ecosystem from high-performance and player development, Team and League strategy through to commercial partnerships, operations, governance, and fan engagement. As the former CEO and co-owner of a two-time NBL championship Club Melbourne United,  Vince has operated at the highest levels of the sport, shaping strategy, strengthening organisations, and driving outcomes in complex, high-stakes environments.

Vince brings a rare combination of strategic thinking, operational discipline, and entrepreneurial mindset. Through his work, Vince continues to support the NBL Group strategies providing innovation, strong leadership, and growth outcomes for all stakeholders.

Lauren Blecher

Chief Corporate & Governance Officer

As Chief Corporate & Governance Officer, Lauren leads the legal, governance, compliance and integrity responsibilities at the League. Lauren also plays a key role in supporting new initiatives and expansion projects. Lauren is a commercial lawyer with experience in M&A investments across sports, media and wagering.

Lauren has held leadership roles in Australia and London where she worked in private equity and digital media, including advising on the launch of OTT platforms in Europe and was part of the team that acquired Leeds United FC. Lauren has also held a number of not for profit board roles.

Heath O'Loughlin

Chief Content & Media Officer

Starting his career in media at the Seven Network, it wasn’t long before Heath had established himself within the broadcast industry and commenced a news journalist cadetship. After several years covering some of the most significant stories in Victoria, he moved into the sports department and covered every major event hosted in the state including the AFL, Australian Open Tennis, NRL and NBL.

In 2006 Heath moved to the Nine Network as the weekend sports presenter. In 2008 he was appointed Head of Media, Marketing and Communications at the North Melbourne Football Club where he spent 13 years. Heath is also an author and has written three books.

He joined the National Basketball League as Chief Media & Communications Officer at a pivotal point, and continues to propel the league by innovating with a true growth mindset.

Alex Hamilton

Chief Product Officer

As Chief Product Officer at the NBL Group, Alex leads a portfolio spanning in product, fan growth, marketing, brand, digital, government relations and major events, driving growth, innovation and deeper fan engagement.

Before joining the NBL, Alex spent 12 years at Tennis Australia, including as Chief Event Officer of the Australian Open, where she played a key role in elevating the event’s global standing and fan and player experience. She began her career as a commercial lawyer before moving into strategic and operational leadership roles.

Alex brings deep expertise in experience design, innovation, and strategic leadership, with a passion for creating unforgettable moments that connect audiences and elevate sport on and off the court.

Justin Nelson

Chief Clubs Officer

Justin was appointed to the NBL executive in mid-2025, returning to the Australian basketball landscape after six successful seasons leading basketball’s national leagues in New Zealand.

Known for his award-winning innovations and outside-the-square thinking, Justin has spent more than 40 years around the game and has enjoyed success at every level, from grassroots associations through to pro teams and national leagues.

Prior to his time in New Zealand, Justin led the Melbourne Boomers in the WNBL for five seasons which were highlighted by record-breaking attendances and revenue growth.

His innovations in basketball include the world’s first sports bubble during Covid, player only timeouts and New Zealand’s successful Rapid League.

Also a noted sports commentator, Justin has spent 30-plus years behind the microphone in radio and television, commentating Australian Rules Football, soccer and basketball, and has hosted a variety of sports shows on different platforms.

Since Covid, Justin has become a noted speaker at corporate events where he presents his thoughts and experience on sports fandom, innovation in sport and the future of sports entertainment.

Key priorities in his role with the NBL include helping Clubs to maximise growth in revenue and fans, and unlocking new commercial and engagement opportunities through innovation. He will be working with all Clubs across the NBL and WNBL in this key role with the NBL Group.

Samantha Green

Chief Growth Officer

Samantha is a seasoned commercial leader with over 15 years of experience spanning Australia and the USA, working with organisations during pivotal periods of transformational growth.

Her background in commercial strategy, sales, and marketing has seen her deliver results across a diverse range of industries, including entertainment, hospitality, property, personal development, and professional services.

Currently, Sam plays a key role in driving commercial growth for the NBL Group, building strategic partnerships that deliver shared value and long-term impact. Prior to this, she led Australia’s leading C-suite membership organisation, supporting senior executives across all sectors.

Sam also holds various Board and Committee positions and is deeply committed to supporting business excellence and innovation.

Outside of her professional life, she’s a proud mum to three boys.

Lisa Lawry

Chief of Staff & People Officer

Lisa brings over 20 years of executive leadership experience across sport, corporate, and for-purpose organisations to her role as Chief of Staff & People Officer. She joins the NBL Group after 12 years in the AFL industry, holding executive and senior management positions at the AFL and Essendon Football Club.

Lisa leads the Group's people and culture strategy and, as Chief of Staff, works in close partnership with the CEO and Executive team to drive key strategic workstreams and deliver results at pace.

Uniquely, Lisa brings both people and culture expertise and hands-on business leadership experience, having led large operational teams and managed significant budgets, which sets her apart as a people leader who truly understands the commercial realities of running a business.
