■ Executive Chairman
Larry Kestelman is an entrepreneur with an expanding portfolio of successful companies. He was the founder of telecommunications and utilities provider, Dodo, and as Executive Group Chairman of the LK Group has become synonymous with his vision for success across the technology, property and sporting landscape.
In 2015 he assumed ownership of the Hungry Jack’s National Basketball League and has overseen a period of unprecedented growth for the league over its 42-year history including record attendances and broadcast audiences and the entry of new clubs South East Melbourne Phoenix and the Tasmania JackJumpers.
In addition to his impressive business and sporting credentials, he is widely involved in the community and has won a variety of awards and recognitions for his achievements in supporting multiple charities and community initiatives.
Jeremy Loeliger was appointed General Manager of the Hungry Jack’s National Basketball League (NBL) in 2015, Chief Executive Officer in 2016, and elevated to the post of NBL Commissioner in 2019. In this period the NBL has undergone a major transformation and is now Australia’s fastest growing sporting league and the second best domestic basketball league in the world after the NBA.
In his role, Loeliger has overseen the successful Next Stars program offering an alternative pathway for budding NBA superstars such as LaMelo Ball and RJ Hampton. The program has generated worldwide interest and enhanced the NBL’s status as a global entertainment product. He has also played a key role in establishing the NBL’s relationships in the US and China and building the league’s profile both domestically and globally.
Before joining the NBL, Loeliger was a partner of a national law firm, practising corporate and commercial law with a focus on mergers and acquisitions and capital markets. In that time, he also carved out a successful sports law practice. He also sits on the Executive Committee of the Victorian Chapter of the Australia China Business Council and is a champion of Sino-Australian trade and sports diplomacy.
■ Chief Commercial Officer
Brad Joyner was appointed Chief Commercial Officer of the Hungry Jack’s National Basketball League (NBL) in November 2018. In this role he has helped build on the successful growth of the NBL’s commercial partnerships with a number of high profile brands including Hungry Jack’s, Kmart, Bunnings, Chemist Warehouse, MG, Sportsbet and Aldimobile.
Joyner previously held the post of Director of National Sales and Business Development at Telstra. During his tenure as the Director of Sales, Joyner led a National Sales Team that delivered significant business and customer growth, responsible for over $500m in group revenues.
