“I haven’t felt like this since college, high school. I can walk into a gym and just feel good.”

Zion Williamson has declared himself to be in the best shape of his life, following years of fitness and injury concerns - and it's that kind of language that should have Australian basketball fans hyped about the NBA phenomenon's impending visit to Melbourne next week.

“We came up with a plan, from boxing to working out on the football field a lot, to just different random workouts,” Zion said.

“I haven’t felt like this since college, high school. I can walk into a gym and just feel good.”

“And during that timeframe last year, I really felt a shift in my body to where I would look at him and be like, ‘It feels good to feel good.’ I haven’t felt like this since college, high school. I can walk into a gym and just feel good.”

Williamson's dramatic transformation even has NBA legend Kevin Garnett excited.

“I’m seeing pictures of Zion, Lord. He looks like he’s back in high school,” Garnett said.

“Shout out to Zion, you’re working, young man. That’s what’s up. I hope you have a great year.”

When he’s healthy and conditioned, Zion is a global spectacle - someone capable of drawing massive crowds, media attention and inspiring the next generation.

Fans coming to Melbourne should expect nothing but the best from ther Pelicans' superstar on October 3 & 5 when he goes head-to-head with Melbourne United and South East Melbourne Phoenix in the NBA x NBL Melbourne Series.

Last chance tickets to the games and other events are still available.
