The Adelaide 36ers have signed 6’11 big man Nick Rakocevic to a one-year contract.

Just one day after parting ways with NBA star Montrezl Harrell, the Adelaide 36ers have signed a replacement import.

The Sixers announced on Friday the signing of 6’11 Serbian/American big man Nick Rakocevic to a one-year deal.

The 27-year-old USC alum, who has played in China, the Philippines and Lebanon, is coming off a stint in Puerto Rico, where he averaged 14 points and 8.1 points across 21 games with two teams (Santeros de Aguada and Capitanes de Arecibo).

Adelaide General Manager of Basketball Operations, Matt Weston, was thrilled to add the big man to Mike Wells' squad for the 2025-26 season.

“Nick is a legitimate four and at 6’11” he can also play as a five, which he has done in leagues around the world,” Weston said in a statement via the 36ers website.

“We know he can shoot the three and that he will help us rebound and stretch the floor.

“We think he’ll not only complement our playing group both on the court and culturally but also bring a real spark that our fans will love.”

The 36ers host Brisbane on Sunday, in their home-opener of the Hungry Jack's NBL26 season.

That Round 2 fixture tips off at 4.30pm AEST, broadcast live on ESPN and Channel 10.
