Talking points

Davis' return

It’s arguably the most highly anticipated game of the entire season, outside ofBryce Cotton’s return to Perth, as Kendric Davis returns to Adelaide.

After all the dust has settled on the star guard’s exit from the 36ers, he now brings hisKings to town and hoping to silence what is sure to be a very noisy crowd.

Dynamic duo dominating

Between the five-time MVP Bryce Cotton and big man Isaac Humphries, this Adelaide team is firing on all cylinders. Humphries was extremely complimentary of his new partner in crime following the 36ers big win over Tasmania Thursday night, and this duo may just be the most damaging in the league.

What they're saying

Kings coach Brian Goorjian on taking on the undefeated 36ers on their home court:

"We walk into the fire and will paint the picture of what we're walking into, and as an organisation and as a team it's time for us to win a game like this," Goorjian said.

"It's early in the year and we're starting to get going and everything, and getting better, but we need to go and win a game like this.

"We know what we're walking into, gloves off and let's go."

36ers guard Dejan Vasiljevic on the return of his former teammate Kendric Davis to Adelaide:

"I haven't spoken to KD since he left, [albeit a brief interaction at the Blitz], so it's going to be interesting to see how he's welcomed back to Adelaide," Vasiljevic said during a recent episode of NBL Now.

"I don't know if we should use the word 'welcome' or how people are going to react.

"There was that incident with Shea Ili last year and he was met with a lot of boos, so it just depends on the night what Adelaide fans feel like.

"It's going to be a cracker of a game, in prime time on a Saturday night."
