Ice, Bryce maybe: The league's best duo?

Adelaide big man Isaac Humphries is excited by his pick and roll synergy with superstar Bryce Cotton.
The Adelaide 36ers are off to their first 3-0 start to the season since the 2000-01 campaign, and they're being led by perhaps the most damaging duo in the NBL.
The pick and roll combination between Bryce Cotton (who had 29 points and 9 assists on Thursday) and Isaac Humphries (who tallied 24 points and 5 boards against Tasmania) has been unstoppable thus far, leading to career-high numbers for Cotton in assists (7.3 per game) and Humphries in points (18.7 per game, at an incredible 74.2 field goal percentage).
"[Our combination] has been quick and I think that comes from communication between Bryce and I," Humphries said during Thursday's post-game press conference.
"We sit and talk a lot about how we can find each other and what we can do.
"An interesting conversation we had once was me explaining how I know where to be after having to guard you in pick and roll actions for so many years, so on the flip side, I know exactly where to be offensively.
"He responded saying, just as much as you've guarded me, I had to guard and play against you for that amount of time too, so I know where you're going to be too.
"We just had that connection from playing against each other, in a weird way, and now we get to find that synergy together and it's really exciting.
"If something happens and we like it, we'll talk about it and how we can continue to connect.
"I love playing in pick and roll and it's really exciting to work alongside Bryce."
The next chance for Humphries and Cotton to put that pick and roll to the test will be in Saturday's blockbuster with Sydney at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.
The Round 4 fixture tips off at 8pm AEDT, live on ESPN.
