United star to miss opening night

Melbourne will be without one of its biggest stars for the opening game of the Hungry Jack’s NBL26 Season, with Chris Goulding sidelined.

The 36-year-old sustained a low-grade quad injury at practice on Tuesday, according to the club’s website, and is expected to miss the next two rounds.

It’s a cruel blow for Melbourne United, who have made significant changes to their roster in the off-season as they look to go one better in NBL26.
