Nine days of hoops to ignite the NBL27 season

Tip-off for the exciting Hungry Jack's NBL27 Season is fast approaching, with the schedule set be revealed in the coming days.

CODE Sports revealed the full NBL27 schedule will be released on Friday, May 29, as the League looks to build on its record-breaking 2025–26 season.

The new season will get underway on Saturday, September 19, which will tip off nine straight days of hoops across Rounds 1 and 2.

“The NBL and its clubs have worked relentlessly this off-season to bed down the new schedule, and Friday’s planned release will arrive more than a month earlier than the corresponding NBL26 fixture.

“Last year’s planning was complicated by historic visits by the NBA’s New Orleans Pelicans and European heavyweights Panathinaikos and Partizan Belgrade for games against NBL clubs in Melbourne and Sydney, forcing the League to juggle a range of additional scheduling considerations.

“This year, however, the NBL has moved quickly to finalise its plans, allowing clubs, broadcasters and fans greater certainty well ahead of the season.”

The pre-season CODE Sports NBL Blitz will return ahead of the 2026–27 season, following a sold-out tournament in Canberra prior to last campaign.

Part of the NBL27 schedule has already been revealed, with the games for HoopsFest Perth, presented by Virgin Australia, announced last week.
