Schedule unveiled for biggest-ever HoopsFest

The schedule for one of the showpieces of the Hungry Jack’s NBL27 Season was unveiled on Friday, during the exciting HoopsFest Perth, presented by Virgin Australia, announcement.

As well as unveiling that Virgin Australia is becoming the Official Airline Partner of both the NBL and WNBL, the event announced a bumper five-day schedule for the January hoops extravaganza.

The showcase event, which is entering its third year, tips off on Wednesday, January 13 with the WNBL’s clash between Perth and Townsville, before Melbourne and Cairns lock horns in a thrilling NBL fixture.

A Thursday double-header follows with the Sydney Flames and Kings taking on Southside Melbourne and South East Melbourne respectively.

On Friday, Adelaide and the UC Capitals get play underway before Perth and New Zealand face off in the NBL.

Saturday will see both Tasmania outfits hit the hardwood, with the Jewels playing Geelong and the JackJumpers taking on Adelaide.

The RAC Arena event will wrap up on the Sunday when Bendigo versus Perth and Brisbane is pitted against Illawarra.

“HoopsFest has fast become one of the most exciting sporting events on the calendar,” NBL Group CEO, David Stevenson said.

HoopsFest, which will remain in Perth for the next two seasons thanks to the commitment by the Western Australian Government through Tourism Western Australia, drew record crowds during NBL26, with more than 35,500 fans attending - a 25 per cent increase year-on-year.

The annual event has attracted international flavour, bringing out high-profile basketball names, scouts, and representatives from NBA teams to find the next generation of stars.

Beyond the court, HoopsFest features community clinics, grassroots activations, open training sessions, and the free Bounce Nation Fan Zone.HoopsFest Perth tickets are now on sale, with access to early-bird pricing available for a limited time starting from $9 for juniors and $27 for adults.
