Josh Bannan will miss the entirety of the NBL Blitz on the Gold Coast.

A hand injury has sidelined Josh Bannan from the NBL Blitz, in a big blow for the Brisbane Bullets.

Bannan is expected to play a key role for the Bullets in NBL25, after an impressive start to his professional career last year, but will have until HoopsFest in Round 1 for his chance to impress.

The 23-year-old averaged 11.9 points and 7.2 rebounds a game across NBL24 and declared for the NBA Draft, also lining up for the Los Angeles Clippers at Summer League.

The Bullets have shown promising signs throughout the pre-season, winning three of their four games, including wins against Melbourne United and the South East Melbourne Phoenix.

Justin Schueller's team will take on the Tasmania JackJumpers in their first match of the Blitz on Saturday at 5pm, with all games live on Kayo.
