"At the end of the day we are going to enjoy this so they can sit there and sulk all they want."

It’s already a bitter rivalry and now the ongoing feud between the undefeated Hawks and Kings has gone to another level with Will Hickey taking aim at his cross-town rivals after Sunday’s intense clash.

The Hawks made a king-sized statement with a 96-89 win, and Hickey was quick to dig up some painful memories.

“Two years ago we were 3-25 and [the Kings] hit sleeping celebrations on us,” he told the Illawarra Mercury.

“At the end of the day we are going to enjoy this so they can sit there and sulk all they want [and] make excuses but at the end of the day we’re up 3-0 - let them sit there with it.”

Hickey had a strong impact off the bench and didn’t just have the Kings in his sights.

“I feel like we’re still not getting our respect. We’re not standing for that anymore,” he added.

Justin Tatum’s top-of-the-ladder side looks like championship contenders and hope to continue their domination against the 36ers on Saturday at 5:30pm AEST live on ESPN.
