The Adelaide 36ers have become the first team to finalise their NBL27 roster, re-signing sharpshooting import John Jenkins.

"John made a significant impact from the moment he arrived at our club," General Manager of Basketball Operations Matt Weston said.

"His professionalism, preparation and approach to his craft are of the highest standard. He leads through his actions every day and sets a great example for everyone around him.

"Beyond his playing ability, John is a high-character person who embraced our club, our city and everything we are building. He quickly earned the respect of his teammates and staff through the way he conducts himself both on and off the court.

"From a basketball perspective, he brings proven scoring ability, elite shooting and a wealth of experience from some of the best leagues in the world. His ability to stretch defences, make smart decisions and perform in big moments makes him an incredibly valuable player for our group."

A mid-season addition for last year's runners-up, Jenkins made an instant impact, averaging 10 points at 45 per cent from the field across 17 games.

He adds another layer of continuity to a 36ers side hungry to go one better than last season.
