The Brisbane Bullets are one step closer to locking in their roster for the Hungry Jack's NBL27 Season, following the signing of Lithuanian point guard Arnas Velička.
The 6'5" playmaker had an MVP-winning season with Neptūnas, and has twice finished as the FIBA Europe Cup's leading assist provider.
He averaged 14.4 points, 7 assists, 4 rebounds and 1.5 steals a game in his most recent season, shooting at 41 per cent from three-point range.
Velička has represented his country at both the FIBA World Cup and EuroBasket qualifying campaigns, earning selection in Lithuania's final squad for EuroBasket 2025.
Brisbane's Head Coach and President of Basketball Operations Will Weaver said Velička is a proven winner.
"He makes everyone around him better," Weaver said.
"He is tough, versatile, a true point guard who loves defending and passing, but that doesn't take away from his immense scoring ability.
"He had many great opportunities offered him from all over the world, but he believes we are the place that can help him to achieve his goal of playing at the very highest level possible."
Velička joins Tristan Devers, Tyrell Harrison, Jacob Holt, Sam McDaniel, Taine Murray, Mitch Norton on the Bullets' roster for NBL27.
