Backcourt Kings

If anyone was wondering how the new dynamic backcourt of Matthew Dellavedova and Kendric Davis would look, Monday provided plenty of answers. Their blend of elite passing, high basketball IQ, and Davis’ natural scoring ability makes them a serious Championship threat. Expect to see the duo sharing the floor even more as the pre-season unfolds.

Richards pushes for roster spot
Fresh off a standout NBL1 South season with Hobart, Jacob Richards made the most of his opportunity on Monday night, delivering 21 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists. With several local roster spots still up for grabs, Richards is making a strong case to secure one of them.

Tasmania's new imports making waves
David Johnson was the statistical standout on Monday night, with 18 points and 7 rebounds, including 6 made threes. Johnson has made his name through being a high-level scorer and will be relied upon for Scott Roth to continue that trend. Bryce Hamiliton took a little longer on Monday to adjust to the game, but his 12 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals flashed the type of performances experts are expecting this season.

Missing in action?
Josh Bannan and Will Magnay are unlikely to play for Tasmania as they return from Boomers' duties, as is the case for the Kings' Jaylin Galloway and Xavier Cooks.
