Former NBL Coach of the Year Adam Forde is looking more and more likely to return to the Taipans.

Adam Forde is rumoured to be returning to the Cairns Taipans' coaching role for NBL26, ESPN's Olgun Uluc is reporting.

Forde coached the Taipans between 2021-2025, named the league's Coach of the Year in 2023.

He departed the club at the end of NBL25, citing "professional opportunities", but looks likely to return to the club for at least another season.

Forde has gained a strong reputation for his ability to develop emerging talent during his time at the Taipans, and previously the Sydney Kings and Perth Wildcats.
