The GAMETIME by Kmart community program will once again return for NBL25, as Kmart signs on for another year.

It’s GAMETIME for one of the NBL’s longest standing sponsors, with Kmart continuing as a major partner of the NBL for another year.

Kmart has become a pivotal brand for grassroots basketball, connecting young fans and families with the NBL.

Now in its sixth year, the GAMETIME by Kmart community program is set to return, with NBL teams and players delivering clinics and activities to more than 100,000 children in schools across the 24/25 season.

The program has been designed for primary schools, allowing students to learn how to play basketball, develop skills, and meet others in the NBL community. GAMETIME strives to help create strong community links and lifelong fans of the game, in a fun, friendly and inclusive environment.

“We are thrilled to have Kmart on board again. The GAMETIME program aligns with our aim to grow participation and make the game more accessible and entertaining for families,” NBL Chief Commercial Officer, Adam Richardson said.

“Kmart is a wonderful partner that we value immensely and look forward to working with over the next year.”

Kmart’s General Manager of Marketing Rennie Freer said, “Kmart is dedicated to making everyday living brighter for our community. Partnering with the NBL allows us to extend this commitment to families across Australia and New Zealand.”

"Throughout our longstanding partnership with the NBL, more than 700,000 children have participated in GAMETIME by Kmart. This season, we are excited to watch our community program grow, providing joy and delight for all involved.”

The 2024/25 Hungry Jack’s NBL Season begins in Perth with the inaugural HoopsFest from September 19-22. The season opener will be a Championship Series re-match between Melbourne United and the Tasmania JackJumpers at 8:30pm AEST at RAC Arena on Thursday, September 19.
