The Kings star unlike any player Goorjian has ever seen

Sydney Kings coach Brian Goorjian has praised Kendric Davis’ work ethic and leadership since arriving in the harbour city.
Kendric Davis’ split from the Adelaide 36ers has sparked plenty of talk in recent weeks, but Sydney Kings coach Brian Goorjian isn’t buying into the noise.
In a recent ESPN interview, the six-time NBL champion spoke of his admiration for the US point guard since his arrival in the harbour city.
“I haven’t had a guy with this kind of work ethic before - he’s having a great influence on our group,” the six-time NBL Coach of the Year said during the Nothing But Net interview.
“We’ve got a lot of young guys who are on their own journeys, and he’s been a tremendous role model on how to go about your business.
“[Honestly] I’m loving everything he’s bringing to our group.”
Further to that, Goorjian went on to explain how excited he is to team up Davis with fellow Kings recruit Matthew Dellavedova during the Hungry Jack’s NBL26 season.
“The package [of Davis] alongside Delly really excites me,” Goorjian continued.
“Although they haven’t spent as much time on court together yet due to KD’s injury, he’s been learning from Delly about squeezing out as much as you can as a player and maximising your potential, which has been a joy to see.”
Davis put up 19 points for the Kings against KK Partizan on Sunday, while Dellavedova dished up 10 assists.
The Kings take on Cairns at home on Sunday to tip off their Hungry Jack's NBL26 Season.
