Australia’s men’s and women’s 3x3 teams have wrapped up their World Cup campaigns with tenth and fifth-place finishes in Mongolia.
Both teams ended the tournament with winning records, with the women’s Gangurrus reaching the quarter-finals before being knocked out by eventual champions, the Netherlands.
The men’s side, led by Cairns Taipans coach Adam Forde, were eliminated in the play-in round by eventual winners Spain.
The Gangurrus squad featured Taipans players Jonah Antonio, Alex Higgins-Titsha and Dillon Stith, alongside former development player Josh Davey.
Dillon Stith led the Australian men in scoring, while Alex Wilson finished among the tournament’s top female scorers.
