Could Josh Giddey light up NBL1?

Could an NBL1 appearance be on the cards for Josh Giddey?
When Josh Giddey stepped onto Court 5 at Frankston Basketball Stadium in May, chaos ensued.
One of the world’s best basketballers playing a local Monday night league game - it was a moment that went viral around the world.
Could an NBL1 appearance be next? If the man himself gets his way, absolutely.
Speaking on the Ball Magnets podcast, Giddey said he’d already flagged the idea of playing more off-season games in his home country.
“I would love to play and I’ve tried to ask the NBA if I can come home and play in the NBL1,” he said.
“There’s no better way of staying in game shape than playing… anytime I can play it, I try to.”
The Chicago Bulls gun and former Adelaide 36ers Next Star is reportedly on the brink of signing a multi-year deal worth around $45 million Australian dollars.
He had a strong first season in the Windy City, following his trade from the Oklahoma City Thunder, averaging 14.6 points, 8.1 rebounds and 7.2 assists a game.
Could Giddey be set to break the internet once again in the coming months? We sure hope so.
Over to you, NBA.
