REPORT: Big roster moves on eve of Free Agency

Multiple NBL teams have reportedly locked in option calls as key roster decisions are finalised ahead of Free Agency.

With the NBL27 Free Agency fast approaching, a number of teams have reportedly exercised options for the coming season.

According to ESPN’s Olgun Uluc, both Tasmania’s Ben Ayre (mutual) and Sydney’s Tyler Robertson (team) have both had their options for the Hungry Jack’s NBL27 season opted in.

Both guards were enjoying career-best seasons in NBL26 before injury ended their seasons prematurely.

While Robertson’s Kings teammate Keli Leaupepe, who has a team option for next year, and the club are reportedly progressing on a new deal that would keep the forward contracted through the 2027-28 season.

Melbourne’s Finn Delany (mutual), New Zealand’s Taylor Britt (team), Illawarra's Harry Froling (team), South East Melbourne’s DJ Mitchell and Brisbane’s Jensen Bradtke all won’t have their deals exercised for next season.

Teams have until Monday to opt in or out of their options, ahead of Free Agency tipping off on Friday, April 17 at 9am AEST.
