Silverdome curse
‍Tasmania has a poor record at their home away from home, winning just two of nine games at the Silverdome.

Scott Roth said last weekend that the team aren’t buying into any of that talk that they’re ‘cursed’ when they play in Launceston, but he’ll also be well aware that his team needs to buck this trend immediately.‍

Hamilton's task
While David Johnson is still sidelined, Bryce Hamilton once again carries a heavy responsibility on the offensive end.

This matchup could very well be his toughest task, with the likes of Malique Lewis and John Brown III rotating onto him to limit his productivity.

The Phoenix are the best defensive team in the league, so how does Roth plan to make his star guard’s life easier in this one?

JackJumpers coach Scott Roth on playing at the Silverdome:
"It just feels like Groundhog's Day.

"For two or three years now it's been the same and you just close your eyes and the score's roughly the same and we can't score a basket when we play here.

"It's just Groundhog Day and it's unfortunate, and we did solve some other problems throughout the course of the game with the rebounding and our aggressiveness which was great, but we just couldn’t score a basket.

"We just couldn’t have any kind of consistency of making shots to open the floor up and that makes it difficult.

"The floor gets smaller and the pressure mounts, and it can snowball into no one making them across the board and it is what it is at this point, and we just have to regroup when we come back here on Thursday."

Phoenix import John Brown III on his side's chemistry:
“When you have that type of chemistry together, it’s different you know, and I’ve been on a lot of teams with good chemistry too, but here it just feels more genuine.

“It’s like no one is going out of their way to be nice to each other. This is what we want to do and this is what we want to build. It starts with us caring about each other, uplifting each other, and understanding that this is a long season.

“We’ll make mistakes and there’ll be ups and downs, but we want to stay level or go higher, and Rome wasn’t built in a day, so we just have to go brick by brick.”
