Taine Murray

The Kiwi guard had a strong college career at Virginia and now gets his first taste of the NBL this season with the Brisbane Bullets.

After being born in Hong Kong, grew up in Auckland with his father a professional rugby player, but he turned his attention to basketball and attended Rosmini College, the same high school as Bullets teammate Tohi Smith-Milner.

Following a season as a teenager as a development player at the New Zealand Breakers, completed four years at the University of Virginia including averaging 4.1 points, 1.6 assists and 1.5 rebounds in over 18 minutes as a senior in 2024/25 while shooting the three ball at 42 per cent.

Represented the New Zealand Tall Blacks at the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup and now gets his first chance in the NBL at the Bullets.
