The Perth Wildcats have signed Mason Jones on a one-year deal, finalising the club's roster for the Hungry Jack's NBL26 Season.

After weeks of speculation, the Wildcats have landed G League champion Mason Jones to round out their NBL26 squad.

The 6’4” guard arrives in Perth after leading the NBA’s Sacramento Kings’ G League affiliate, the Stockton Kings, to the 2024-25 Championship and claiming Finals MVP honours.

He averaged 23.6 points, 7.8 assists and 5.0 rebounds per game across the season. In the Championship decider he dished out 13 assists, the second most ever in a G League Finals game, highlighting his ability to elevate teammates when it matters most.

“I’m excited and thrilled to be part of the Perth family. I hear nothing but great things, I can’t wait to meet my new teammates and coaches. Everybody speaks so highly of Perth and I know you expect nothing but championships,” Jones said.

“Big things to come but we will have to earn it every day through the good and bad. Can’t wait to see what the Red Army looks like in person, I hear you’re some of the best fans so I’m expecting you’ll all show out this year for us.”

“We’re thrilled to have Mason joining the organisation and look forward to getting him to Perth and integrated with the team,” Wildcats General Manager of Basketball Operations, Danny Mills said.

“He’s a dynamic guard with the ability to play both on and off the ball, score at all three levels, and make a strong impact as an efficient playmaker with his passing and basketball IQ.”

The Wildcats will take on the Tasmania JackJumpers on September 20 in their season-opener.
