Headlined by Zion Williamson, the New Orleans Pelicans head to Australia for pre-season matchups with two NBL teams.

The New Orleans Pelicans have officially touched down in Australia, ahead of a massive week of events and games against two NBL teams.

The Pelicans' training camp roster is set, highlighted by a blend of established stars, rising talent, and fresh rookies, as the team prepares for matches against Melbourne United and the South East Melbourne Phoenix.

Zion Williamson headlines the squad, returning healthy and determined to lead New Orleans into the new campaign. He’s joined by versatile wing Trey Murphy III, defensive specialist Herb Jones, and new acquisition Jordan Poole. Former Golden State Warriors big man Kevon Looney also arrives to provide a much needed boost in the frontcourt.

The Pelicans’ newest draft picks, Jeremiah Fears and Derik Queen, are also expected to see opportunities in Melbourne, after enjoying strong NBA Summer League campaigns in July.

All Star guard Dejounte Murray is reportedly set to miss the trip to Australia as he continues to rehab from a torn Achilles.
