Brisbane secures final import

The Brisbane Bullets announced on Wednesday the signing of 6'8" American forward Jaylin Williams for the Hungry Jack’s NBL27 Season.

The 25-year-old arrives in Brisbane after a productive campaign with the Sacramento Kings' G League affiliate last season, averaging 13.7 points, 6.9 rebounds and 3 assists per game, while shooting 36 per cent from beyond the arc.

Williams showcased his ability to impact high-pressure games during Stockton's recent Playoff run, exploding for 20 points, including 6 made three-pointers, in the Western Conference Finals.

During his collegiate career, Williams became Auburn's all-time leader in games played, helping the Tigers claim the 2024 SEC Tournament Championship, while earning All-SEC Second Team honours in his final season.

That success led to his first opportunity in the G League with the Grand Rapids Gold, where he continued developing as a powerful two-way forward before earning a larger role with Stockton.

Williams is currently playing with the Saskatoon Mamba of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL), averaging 14.1 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game.

"I'm excited to get to work in Brisbane," Williams said.

"I've got belief in what coach Weaver is building there, and I know that the NBL is a fast, physical, competitive league which suits the way I play.

"I will bring energy, enthusiasm and experience to the group. It's a good time to be at the organisation, and I'm keen to be a part of it."

Bullets Head Coach and President of Basketball Operations Will Weaver believes Williams' versatility makes him the perfect final piece of the Bullets puzzle.

"Jaylin is someone who will work really well with the roster we've built for the season," Weaver said.

"His combination of size, athleticism and basketball IQ make him a valuable addition.

“He's someone who can defend multiple positions, make plays for his teammates and impact the game in a variety of ways.

"He is at the early stages of what will be a very exciting career, and we believe he has the ability to continue improving and showcase that during his time with us."

Williams joins Tyrell Harrison, Nate Hinton, Arnas Velička, Jacob Holt, Sam McDaniel, Lat Mayen, Taine Murray, Mitch Norton, Harry Rouhliadeff, Rio Bruton and reported signing MaxMackinnon on Weaver’s roster.
