Brisbane Bullets big man Rocco Zikarsky is currently projected as the 18th overall pick by Sam Vecenie.

The NBL25 crop of Next Stars is already capturing the attention of NBA Draft experts, with four names featured in The Athletic’s latest mock.

In what’s regarded as a “loaded” draft class, Brisbane Bullets big man Rocco Zikarsky is currently projected as the 18th overall pick by Sam Vecenie.

At just 18 years of age, it’s a great sign of the young gun’s incredible upside.

Zikarsky became a fan favourite in Brisbane across his first season, with his 7’3 frame and eye-catching dunks making him an excitement machine.

Sydney Kings forward Alex Toohey is currently projected as the 42nd overall pick, after averaging 7.9 points and 3.9 rebounds in his first professional season.

Toohey is expected to be a key part of the Kings’ starting five in NBL25.

The NBL’s newest signings are next in line, with Phoenix recruit Malique Lewis, and the Perth Wildcats' Izan Almansa, at picks 43 and 45 respectively.

A record four Next Stars were selected at the 2024 NBA Draft, led by Alex Sarr at pick one, with Trentyn Flowers signed not long after by the Los Angeles Clippers.
