Next Star Sarr nominates for NBA Draft

NBL Next Star and Perth Wildcat Alex Sarr has officially declared for the NBA Draft.

Widely touted as a top-three selection, and considered the outright number one pick by many experts, the 18-year-old is one of the most exciting prospects in the world. 

"I had a great year playing professional basketball in the NBL," Sarr said on ESPN's NBA Today. 

"There was a lot of growth in my game and as a person. I'm ready for the next step, so it was obvious for me to declare for the draft. 

“I'm grateful for the year I spent in the NBL with the Perth Wildcats."

Sarr averaged 9.4 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.5 blocks a game across 27 appearances with the Wildcats in NBL24.

The NBA Draft will be held on June 27, 2024.
