JackJumpers Bid Farewell to Magette

Wednesday, June 21, 2023
The Tasmania JackJumpers have confirmed import guard Josh Magette will not be returning to the club for NBL24.
The Tasmania JackJumpers have bid farewell to foundation player and club hero Josh Magette, announcing the news via social media.
It means the 33-year-old will not be returning for a third season with the club.
Magette has finished his two seasons at the JackJumpers as the club’s all-time leader in both assists and steals and played a key role in the team's successful introduction to the NBL.

His stint at the club ended in unfortunate circumstances however, as he had to undergo surgery on a broken cheekbone and fractured eye socket following Tasmania’s Round 18 victory over Illawarra.
The former Atlanta Hawk representative played 62 total games for the JackJumpers and averaged 11 points, 5.2 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 1.7 steals per contest.
