Is this import the Breakers’ missing piece?

Izaiah Brockington is shaping up as one of the finds of the NBL off-season after dominating the CODE Sports NBL Blitz.
New import Izaiah Brockington led the way as the New Zealand Breakers opened their season in style, claiming the CODE Sports NBL Blitx with a dominant showing built around his explosive play.
“I’ll tell you what though, that Izaiah Buckington, that’s what I’m calling him Izaiah Buckington… that guy is must-see TV,” Damon Lowery said on NBL Now.
“That dude could not be stopped scoring one-on-one. You got no shot.”
Brockington capped off his breakout performance by claiming the Ray Borner Medal as tournament MVP, averaging 20 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists and 2.5 steals across two games.
“I was hoping that Petteri Koponen put a nice running mate next to PJC, and he did that,” Lowery added.
“That guy is must-see TV. I cannot wait for the season to start and watch Izaiah do his thing.”
In their first win over the Phoenix, the chemistry between Brockington and Jackson-Cartwright was already starting to show.
But there was a scare for Breakers fans when Jackson-Cartwright logged only three minutes in their 20-point win over Cairns due to a rib complaint.
“You gotta have somebody than can run with Parker,” Lowery continued.
“Now we saw Matt Mooney last year do a real good job running with Parker. Because he’s the fastest man in the league... he’s gonna attract so much attention.
“Now he can just kick it out to somebody that can make a play. And Izaiah… that is that guy.”
As the Breakers prepare to launch into the NBL26 season, they’ll be waiting on some key pieces to return, including their teenage Next Star sensation.
“All they got to do now is just get Karim Lopez more in the mix, because we didn't see him at all in the Blitz," Lowery added.
“Obviously, Sam Mennenga’s on board and the rest of that Kiwi connection, they're going to make some noise.”
