ScoMo to land in Australia

Scott Morrison has finally been approved to enter Australia, with the new Perth Wildcats coach departing for the country on Wednesday morning according to The West Australian.

Morrison will leave Canada for Australia with his wife and two children, with the family bracing for a long flight path that will see them arrive in Perth on Friday evening.

“I’m thrilled for Scott and his family that they have been provided with the necessary approvals to travel,” Wildcats CEO Troy Georgiu said.

Andersen ready for NBL role

Australian basketball legend David Andersen has announced his retirement after 23 seasons, but he won’t be lost to the sport.

Andersen will join the NBL in a new Player Liaison and Special Projects role and he can’t wait to get started.

“Playing conditions in the NBL are already at a world-class level and I hope my experience and insight from a player’s perspective will make the NBL even more enticing for other players, whether local or from abroad,” he said.

“Annoying” Mills hitting right notes

Patty Mills has wasted no time getting comfortable with the Brooklyn Nets after scoring 21 points in 23 minutes during yesterday’s win over Washington.

The Australian Boomer has revealed he is trying to be disruptive in multiple ways for the Nets.

"(I'm) trying to insert that energy that the game needs, create that juice, that atmosphere and be infectious that way and have an impact on the game," Mills said.

"Just being annoying at the end of the day."
