Players to watch
Xavier Cooks is back in the Green and Gold and will headline an emerging Boomers team for this series. The Sydney Kings leading man will step into a prominent role for this young squad as he’s joined by former championship winning teammate, DJ Vasiljevic. Veteran wing Todd Blanchfield, rejoins the Boomers fresh off winning a championship with the Illawarra Hawks.
Adelaide fans will get a close look at their new star signing when Flynn Cameron steps onto the floor for the Tall Blacks. Cameron will join Melbourne United guard and two-time Best Defensive Player in Shea Ili in the backcourt. New Breakers signing, Taylor Britt, who has been a consistent figure for New Zealand during FIBA windows, will also be looking to make a statement.
Young guns
If current form is anything to go by, then keep an eye on Perth Wildcats guard Elijah Pepper. The 23-year-old, who will turn 24 on Thursday, has been putting up absurd numbers to begin his NBL1 West campaign, including multiple 50-point games and a triple double.
17-year-old New Zealand guard Jackson Ball will become the third youngest player to ever represent the Tall Blacks. The exciting prospect has committed to Wisconsin next season and had already had a 40-point game in the NZNBL.
