"Stop being like a bitter ex": Harrell fires back at ex-teammate

"Stop being like a bitter ex": Harrell fires back at ex-teammate

Tuesday, September 16, 2025

Adelaide’s Montrezl Harrell has hit back at Kendric Davis in a heated war of words, adding spice to the 36er clash with Sydney on October 11.'

If the matchup between Adelaide and Sydney on October 11 wasn’t already smouldering with anticipation, the latest war of words between Montrezl Harrell and Kendric Davis has certainly fuelled the fire.

After Davis claimed last week he was ‘treated bad’ during his time in Adelaide and that it would add ‘extra spice’ when he faces his old team, Harrell hit back.

“There’s a lot of stuff behind these doors KD, that hasn’t been put out there brother. Just watch your tone,” the former NBA Sixth Man of the Year told NBL Media.

“The ones that were with you in those locker rooms, we know but we ain’t going to bash you and sh*t like that … we could, but be a grown man bro, it’s over and done with.

“You made your decision. You left, you went to Sydney. Be happy going to Sydney bro.”

While Harrell and Davis were a formidable combination in Adelaide last year, it now appears their relationship has turned sour.

“Stop being like a bitter ex, ‘oh they did me wrong’ … nobody did KD wrong and I’m here to tell you that. Nobody did KD wrong. He did himself wrong,” Harrell added.

Davis finished runner-up in the NBL’s MVP Award last year, before making an off-season move to Sydney.

Harrell is set to begin his second season with the 36ers, teaming up with marquee recruit Bryce Cotton.
