Round 5 Points of Difference: SuperCoach NBL Classic

13 Oct 2026

Josh Bannan and Tyrell Harrison lead the SuperCoach NBL Classic PODs to consider before Round 5.

Last week’s top point of difference has gone mainstream. Kendric Davis is now in 25.6 per cent of SuperCoach teams, so the Sydney Kings star no longer makes the list.

That opens the door for a new group of PODs, and the schedule is again doing the heavy lifting. Tasmania, New Zealand, Sydney and South East Melbourne all play twice in Round 5. Brisbane and Perth play once before their double-header runs begin.

For new players, PODs are low-ownership, high-upside players who deliver the goods. They matter most in head-to-head leagues, where SuperCoach teams share many of the same players and rely on unique selections to win.

The two PODs most worth considering are Josh Bannan ($319,300, 1.8 per cent owned) and Tyrell Harrison ($345,100, 4.6 per cent owned). Bannan plays twice this round, and Harrison has five double-headers to come.

Below is a full breakdown of every POD by price bracket. All prices are after the Round 4 update.

The premium PODs

Harrison ($345,100) has the highest average of any POD at 36.0, and has averaged 41.7 over the past two rounds. He rose $22,700 in the last price change. Brisbane doubles in Rounds 6, 7, 8, 9 and 11.

Bannan ($319,300) is 1.8 per cent owned, which is fewer than one in 50 teams. He’s averaging 33.0, the same as his output over the past two rounds. Tasmania doubles in Rounds 5, 7 and 9.

Dylan Windler ($321,000) is 1.6 per cent owned and averaging 32.0, with 38.5 over the past two rounds. He’s up $49,900 since the start of the season, the biggest rise of any POD. Perth plays once in Round 5, then doubles in Rounds 7, 8, 9 and 11.

The high-upside PODs

Nate Hinton ($299,400) is 5.5 per cent owned and averaging 35.2, or 11.8 points per $100k. That’s the best return of any POD priced above $200,000. Brisbane doubles in Rounds 6, 7, 8, 9 and 11.

Taran Armstrong ($299,600) is 5.4 per cent owned and averaging 30.8. He dropped $9,700 in the last price change after averaging 27.7 over the past two rounds, so he’s now cheaper than he started. Tasmania doubles in Rounds 5, 7 and 9.

Skylar Mays ($265,800) is 4.6 per cent owned and averaging 25.7, with 26.7 over the past two rounds. South East Melbourne doubles in Rounds 5, 9, 10 and 11.

The Round 5 double-header PODs

D’Shawn Schwartz ($235,800) is 1.2 per cent owned and averaging 20.3, with 24.3 over the past two rounds. He’s down $41,200 since the start of the season, but he rose $1,200 in the last price change. South East Melbourne doubles in Rounds 5, 9, 10 and 11.

Charles Bediako ($224,900) is 1.4 per cent owned and averaging 19.5. He’s down $52,100 since the start of the season, the biggest fall of any POD, which makes him a buy-low option. New Zealand doubles in Rounds 5, 7, 9 and 10.

Mojave King ($196,800) is 2.1 per cent owned and averaging 18.5, or 9.4 points per $100k, with the same four New Zealand doubles.

The value PODs (points per $100k)

Carlin Davison ($163,100) is 5.7 per cent owned and averaging 17.0, or 10.4 points per $100k. He’s lifted to 20.3 over the past two rounds and is up $41,500 since the start of the season. New Zealand doubles in Rounds 5, 7, 9 and 10.

Dakota Mathias ($179,400) is 2.1 per cent owned and averaging 20.2, or 11.3 points per $100k. Tasmania doubles in Rounds 5, 7 and 9.

Angus Glover ($174,600) is 3.8 per cent owned and averaging 18.0, or 10.3 points per $100k. South East Melbourne doubles in Rounds 5, 9, 10 and 11.

The deep PODs (under 1 per cent owned)

Andrew Carr ($251,100) is 0.8 per cent owned and averaging 20.5. Sydney has five doubles to come, in Rounds 5, 6, 7, 9 and 11, and plays twice this round.

Jaylin Williams ($265,900) is 0.6 per cent owned, the lowest of any POD. He’s averaging 20.2, but that rises to 25.7 over the past two rounds. Brisbane doubles in Rounds 6, 7, 8, 9 and 11.

The traps

Will Johnston ($108,300) is the most-owned POD at 7.9 per cent and still leads for value at 13.9 points per $100k. But he’s averaged just 9.5 over the past two rounds. His price rose $11,400 in the last change on the back of earlier scores, so it may be near its peak.

Nathan Sobey ($333,300) is 2.1 per cent owned and averaging 25.0. At 7.5 points per $100k, he’s the lowest-value POD on the list, and he’s down $46,300 since the start of the season.

Matthew Dellavedova ($195,500) is 1.9 per cent owned and averaging 18.8. He’s managed 15.0 over the past two rounds and dropped $15,700 in the last price change.

Torrey Craig ($253,900) is 2.6 per cent owned and averaging 19.8, or 7.8 points per $100k. He’s down $36,500 since the start of the season, despite Sydney’s five doubles to come.
