The Brisbane Bullets on Monday confirmed the devastating injury news about star point guard Arnas Velicka.

After reports surfaced on Saturday that the Lithuanian would be out for a number of weeks, the Bullets have now announced that the 26-year-old would be sidelined until early December due to a lower-limb injury following the club's Round 4 loss to Cairns.

This is tough news for Will Weaver’s 2-3 Bullets, with Velicka averaging 13.8 points and a League-leading 10.2 assists per game.

“Following Thursday’s game, Arnas Velička has been ruled out due to a lower-limb injury and is expected to return at the start of December,” a club spokesperson said.

“A further update will be provided once the waivers have been approved by the NBL.”
