Olgun Uluc reported on Monday there is a possibility, if he performs, Tacko Fall could come to the NBL.

ESPN’s Olgun Uluc has reported the New Zealand Breakers are putting “legitimate consideration” into keeping Tacko Fall on their roster beyond the upcoming NBLxNBA games.

Fall, a 7’6 centre who has become a cult hero in the basketball world, will join the Breakers for their NBA preseason games against Utah, Philadelphia and Oklahoma City over the next fortnight.

While he was initially signed just for those games, Uluc reported on Monday there is a possibility, if he performs, Fall could come to the NBL.

“The Breakers are treating the situation with a level of seriousness and will put legitimate consideration into keeping Fall beyond those preseason games, sources told ESPN,” Uluc wrote.

Uluc outlined, “there's no world where the team brings the big-man in full-time if they don't feel he's at the level”.

If New Zealand wanted to sign Fall, it would need to cut one of their three imports – Freddie Gillespie, Matt Mooney or Parker Jackson-Cartwright.

Fall has appeared in 40 NBA games for the Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers from 2019-2022.
