The way he comes off screens, can create separation ... he hasn't really lost that step yet at 35, which is pretty impressive.

If anyone could do it, it’s Patty Mills.

All indications point to the Boomers champion having played his last Olympics, but according to Andrew Bogut, it might not be over just yet.

“By reports I've heard that Patty wants to go again,” Bogut said on The Gold Standard podcast.

“He’d be 39 for the next (Olympics) or 38 for the World Cup the year before.

“It would be hard, especially with his game ... speed is a big factor for him. The way he comes off screens, can create separation ... he hasn't really lost that step yet at 35, which is pretty impressive.

“I think that's going to dwindle a little bit, as old age comes knocking, you lose a bit of your speed ... and we’ve got other guards coming up and knocking on the door.”

Whenever his national career does come to an end, Mills will be remembered as one of the all-time greats in the Australian setup.

He had his doubters going into Paris, but no one could question his ability to impact on the international stage like very few others.

"We've just enjoyed every moment of this journey," Mills said of playing alongside fellow veterans Joe Ingles and Matthew Dellavedova, hinting it may be the end in a post-game interview.

But after averaging more than 16 points a game across the tournament, including 26 against Serbia, could there still be another chapter in Mills' incredible journey?
