NBL moves with V League

NBL legends Dave Andersen and Adam Gibson are calling on Aussies to join them on the basketball court for the inaugural V-League.

Voltaren and the Hungry Jack’s National Basketball League (NBL) are launching the brand-new competition to encourage Australians to move and become more active.

“We are excited to support the V-League and see it come to life in the coming weeks when some of the game’s most beloved players are put to the test, alongside everyday Australians who want to get moving again without the fear of niggling pain or discomfort,” NBL Chief Partnerships Officer, Lauren Hansen, said.

“The V-League is a great initiative to encourage people to move and experience happiness and enjoyment through the game of basketball.”

Selected players can win an NBL corporate box experience in their home state and a $100 NBL shop voucher.

Former NBL star, Australian Boomer and captain of the Orange Team, Adam Gibson, says it’s a great opportunity for people to return to the court.

“It’s all about encouraging Aussies to get back to doing what they love the most and having some fun,” he said.

“I know all too well the impact pain can have on everyday living, and how vital it is to keep moving and remain active.”

Joseph Mehdawi, Voltaren ANZ Senior Marketing Lead said Voltaren is excited to launch the V-League and encourage Aussies to rediscover the joy of movement.

"We’re so excited to be able to create the new, V-League, platform to celebrate the joy of movement and cannot wait to see the introductory V-League game kick off," Mehdawi said.
