Tasmania JackJumpers star Jack McVeigh has declared himself “100 per cent ready to go” for the season-opener against the South East Melbourne Phoenix.

McVeigh dislocated his shoulder while playing for the Australia Boomers in recent World Cup qualifiers, but the fan favourite's recovery is going as expected.

“It (the shoulder) feels really strong, it’s at about 99 per cent right now and I feel better than I was last year in terms of a player and how I view the game. I’m 100 per cent ready to go round one,” McVeigh said via Newscorp.

Tasmania’s pre-season games tipped off on Tuesday night with a win against the Phoenix, with the two clubs to meet once again on Thursday night.

The JackJumpers and Phoenix will then kick-start the regular season on October 1 at John Cain Arena.
