“It was a pretty easy decision, in fact it wasn’t even a decision. The coaches, club and I were all on the same page."

The Tasmania JackJumpers continue to lock in the core of their championship roster, with the announcement Jack McVeigh has extended his current deal.

McVeigh, the Finals MVP and All-NBL Second Team member will remain with the club until at the least the end of NBL27.

“Tasmania definitely feels like home now. I’m really settled here, my partner Beth is moving down soon from Adelaide and I’m playing the best basketball of my career here,” he said.

“It was a pretty easy decision, in fact it wasn’t even a decision. The coaches, club and I were all on the same page. I’m really excited to have that locked away and to continue to build on our achievements over the next few years.”

McVeigh's strong form was rewarded with a call-up to the Australian Boomers' squad for the Paris Olympics this week.

He averaged 17.3 points and 5.9 rebounds across 37 appearances in NBL24.

The 27-year-old joins Clint Steindl, Fabijan Krslovic, Milton Doyle, Sean Macdonald, Will Magnay, Majok Deng and Walter Brown as one of the most complete locked-in rosters for NBL25.

Anthony Drmic has also been reported to have re-signed, with no official announcement from the club at this stage.
