The talent filled Sydney Kings begin their NBL Blitz campaign on Monday night.

Legendary coach Brian Goorjian is searching for “what works” for his high-powered Sydney Kings squad as they begin their NBL Blitz campaign on Monday night.

A wave of positivity and high expectations are flowing out of Sydney, with many predicting Goorjian has the best roster in the league at his disposal, headlined by the likes of Xavier Cooks, Jaylen Adams, Alex Toohey, Cam Oliver, Jaylin Galloway and others.

That loaded squad will battle the Cairns Taipans on the Gold Coast tonight, off the back of impressive performances in pre-season clashes against the New Zealand Breakers.

"We've been going hard at training for a few weeks now with this new group and the missing element was some actual games, which those matches against the Breakers provided and the three upcoming Blitz games will do,” Goorjian told the club’s website.

"These games show us what works for us both offensively and defensively, but also from a lineup and combination perspective while allowing us a chance to make adjustments before the season tips off.

"For most of this group, it's a new system but they've all embraced it and we're confident that it will continue to grow and of where we can take this thing.

"Each day presents a chance to get better and I'm excited to see us continue moving forward as a group on the Gold Coast."

Tip-off between Sydney and Cairns is 7:30pm AEST on Monday night, with the game broadcast live on Kayo.
