Josh Giddy has paid tribute to Corey Williams, donning his jersey at the NBA Playoffs.

Oklahoma City guard and NBL alum Josh Giddey paid his respects to Corey Williams ahead of the Thunder’s recent Game 6 playoff clash with Dallas.

Giddey pulled up to the game wearing a throwback jersey from Williams’ time with the Townsville Crocodiles.

It came after a clip of Giddey paying tribute to Williams aired on NBL Overtime.

“It’s a sad time with the passing of Corey,” Giddey said on the program.

“He was such a loved and respected guy all around the world and in the basketball community, so I want his family to know we’re all mourning and hurting. This is not an easy time.

“I hope you guys know how much he was loved and the impact he had on people all around the world, but more specifically, within the basketball community. He touched a lot of people, and his smile was contagious throughout his whole life.

“A fighter to the full extent of the word, even battling something as tough as he was the way he showed up with a smile was inspirational.”

“He’ll forever be remembered for the legend he was and is.”
