Melbourne United arrive at MyState Bank Arena riding a wave of confidence after their statement win in Throwdown 33, but coach Jacob Chance knows the Tasmania JackJumpers will ask many of the same questions.
Chance, a former JackJumpers assistant, sees plenty of South East Melbourne in Tasmania's full-court pressure and physicality, and he's backing his 1-1 side to be ready for a second straight test of that kind.
"We're all locked in on Tassie right now for Thursday night," Chance said during United's media availability this week.
"That's going to present its own challenges with how they play and how good they are… it'll be a good game for us.
"[Tassie is] not too dissimilar to South East [Melbourne] in a way [with] their full-court disruption.
"We spoke about it going into those two games that we were going to get tested here with the physicality battle with South East followed by Tassie.
"[It's] another great test for us on the road."
United head into the Round 3 blockbuster without backcourt duo Chris Goulding and Shea Ili, which is why Chance will be relying more on his frontcourt weapons, such as Josh Oduro.
"He (Oduro) is a great player; I think he really suits this League," Chance added.
"He suits our team; he suits what we need.
"He's only going to keep getting better, and that's the exciting part.
"[Overall], we have so much positional size that we can make it really difficult for teams at times if we want to.
"The commitment to that over 40 minutes is going to be really important."
Thursday's fixture at MyState Bank Arena tips off at 7.30pm AEST, live on ESPN.
