The point guard reinforcements are on their way for the Perth Wildcats, with young gun Jaron Rillie cleared to make his season debut on Friday.
Rillie, who has missed the club's opening three matches due to a calf injury, will be back in the Wildcats' lineup for their Round 3 clash with South East Melbourne at RAC Arena.
With Brandon Knight in Australia but still awaiting clearance to make his NBL debut, second-year guard Rillie shapes as the Wildcats' lone point guard.
Without a natural floor general, Perth has gone with a point guard by committee approach so far this season, with Kristian Doolittle, Elijah Pepper and Anthony Dell'Orso sharing the ball-handling duties, highlighted by Pepper's game-winner against Adelaide.
Knight, who is reportedly aiming to debut in Perth's next game against the Breakers, will be joined by star big man Jo Lual-Acuil Jr. on the sidelines, with the South Sudanese international dealing with a calf injury sustained against New Zealand in Round 2.
Friday's fixture between the Wildcats and Phoenix tips off at 9.30pm AEST, live on ESPN.
