“This has been a dream of mine since I was five years old."

The Adelaide 36ers have announced the signing of Tom Kubank as a Nominated Replacement Player for the NBL25 season.

The 201cm swingman joins the 36ers after spending the NBL1 Central season at the South Adelaide Panthers where he averaged 14.9 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game.

Kubank is looking forward to getting an opportunity at NBL level and he can’t wait to prove himself in the big league.

“This has been a dream of mine since I was five years old when I was watching my dad play, so to play for the 36ers I’m over the moon for the opportunity,” Kubank said.

“I’m really excited to get out there and show what I can do and support the boys in any way possible.”

Adelaide head coach Mike Wells said Kubank brings his roster extra athleticism and length at both ends of the floor.

“Tom has been really good this pre-season, he gives us something different both on and off the ball,” Wells said.

“He is someone we are excited to move forward with, he has done an outstanding job.”

Kubank graduated from University of Mary in 2019 and has played professionally overseas for Leeuwarden in the BNXT League in the Netherlands in 2023, where he averaged 7.8 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game.

“I’ve been coming out every day during pre-season, putting my best foot forward, we have a great group of guys here and we are really building to something special this year,” Kubank said.
