Six rounds down, 12 to go. It’s hard to believe NBL23 is already a third of the way through, but for teams and fans alike, the best action is still very much to come.

Six rounds down, 12 to go.

It’s hard to believe NBL23 is already a third of the way through, but for teams and fans alike, the best action is still very much to come.

After a week’s break for the FIBA World Cup Qualifiers, the NBL returns this week with a bang.

Two games on Thursday night tip things off for Round 7, with Melbourne United and the Adelaide 36ers facing off at John Cain Arena, before Perth hosts South East Melbourne.

United looks to have hit their straps with a big win in the Throwdown, while all eyes will be on the 36ers after a less than ideal fortnight, following the departure of Craig Randall II.

Are the Wildcats back? After five straight losses, John Rillie’s team finally tasted victory over Adelaide in enemy territory, as Brady Manek found his range in style.

And can the Phoenix regain the form that helped them to four successive wins, or does the injury curse continue to hamper Simon Mitchell’s men?

It’s a huge start to the round and only continues from there.

The JackJumpers take on New Zealand on Friday night in front of another sell-out crowd, before the return leg of the Throwdown sees South East Melbourne hosts Melbourne United on Saturday evening.

Brisbane and Cairns on Saturday night, as the Taipans continue to shock the league with their outstanding early season form.

Can Big Banger Baynes and the Bullets continue their resurgence after three straight victories?

It’s a huge double on Sunday Hoops too, as Adelaide travels to New Zealand, before a rivalry is reunited in Sydney, as the Kings take on Illawarra.

You don’t want to miss a moment, and it’s all live on ESPN via Kayo and Foxtel.
