BREAKING: Perth announces star signing, 450-game NBA talent

The Perth Wildcats have landed a genuine talent in Brandon Knight, bringing 451 games of top-flight experience.

The Perth Wildcats have signed NBA talent Brandon Knight for the Hungry Jack's NBL27 Season.

The announcement has been confirmed by the club, pending NBL approval.

Knight played 451 games across his career after being selected with the eighth overall pick at the 2011 NBA Draft.

The 34-year-old played nine seasons in the NBA, enjoying stints at Detroit, Phoenix, Milwaukee, Cleveland, Houston and Dallas, producing averages of 14 points, 3.9 assists and 3.1 rebounds per contest.

Most recently, Knight has spent time in Puerto Rico (Piratas de Quebradillas, Capitanes de Arecibo and Mets de Guaynabo) and Greece (AEK Athens).

Of note, Knight won MVP and led the Puerto Rican League in scoring 23.3 points a game in 2023 with Piratas de Quebradillas.

The Wildcats will open their Hungry Jack's NBL27 Season on Saturday, September 19 against South East Melbourne at RAC Arena, from 9.30pm AEST.
