The player: Rob Loe (F/C) UTD $184,000
The moment: Popular trade-in candidate Rob Loe picked up his first personal foul exactly one second into this contest. While his was an ominous sign for owners with Loe’s minutes being restricted to 15 for the contest due to foul trouble, his 22 SuperCoach points against South East Melbourne Phoenix was an excellent result considering the above. Loe would once again have early foul trouble against the Jack Jumpers resulting in only 13 minutes played. Unfortunately he would only total 9 SuperCoach points with this limited opportunity.

The player: Jack White (F) UTD $261,000
The moment: The moment for Jack White was the half-time break. Having gone scoreless in the first half against South East Melbourne, Jack was white hot in the second half, closing the game with 15 points 8 rebounds and a seemingly unlikely 23 SuperCoach points considering his start to the game. This second half form continued onto the next game where he totalled 48 SuperCoach points with a double-double against Tasmania.

The player: Matthew Dellavedova (G) UTD $326,500
The moment: The moment for Delly was during the pre-game commentary, when Andrew Gaze predicted he would have a double-double; adding that it could be with either assists and rebounds. Delly would go on to have 18 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists, securing his double-double bonus points and a game high 42 SuperCoach points. He was solid with 20 SuperCoach in his second game against the JackJumpers.

The player: Trey Kell III (G) ILL $358,500
The moment: Trey had his moment in the first quarter against the Bullets. He started on fire with 16 points in the 1st quarter, resulting in 23 SuperCoach points. Whilst Brisbane eventually got their act together and made a game of this one, Kell finished the night with 41 SuperCoach points, thanks to 30 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists.

The player: Darius Days (F) ILL $309,000
The moment: It was the Hawks second game of the round which proved to be the decisive moment for Days. Owners were expecting big things following an impressive 20 points and 12 rebounds in Round 1, but the moment never eventuated in his first game of the round. The rebounds dried up for Days pulling down just 2, and the team-high shot attempts from last week seemed like a  thing of the past. In fact, Days’ 13 points came from just 9 shot attempts, as Kell, Harvey and Froling would all attempt more shots, combining for 41 shot attempts between them. Illawarra were not running the same plays for Days to contribute in this one, with a perimeter role that saw him sitting in the corner awaiting his next three-point attempt, which also contributed to a lower rebound count. However, Days would rebound against the Kings, claiming another double-double on his way to 40 SuperCoach points.

The player: Jaylen Adams (G) SYD $418,500
The moment: Jaylen Adams started exactly where he left off following his Round 1 performance for the Kings. He again opened Sydney’s scoring account and went on to take over! Adams would record 51 SuperCoach points, following 27 points, 6 assists and an impressive 6 steals. Those that rode the Adams wave and Captained him would have been smiling from ear to ear after the first game. However, the decisive moment, especially for those that did not have Adams was when he finished with 9 points and 9 assists. Adams had a very poor game here, but could have easily salvaged a respectable score with an extra made free throw and by one of his teammates finishing off his good set-up play on one more occasion.

The player: Keanu Pinder (F/C) PER $347,600
The moment: KP recorded his highest ever points total as a Wildcat last week as he helped his team take over in the third quarter. This week's moment was polar opposite and started with three consecutive turnovers for Keanu, before exiting the game after just two and a half minutes of play. Pinder would go on and play small stints to start the second and third quarters, only to sit the entirety of the fourth quarter in a close battle against the Kings. The Wildcats big man would play just ten minutes in total and hit owners with -6 SuperCoach points in an uncharacteristic performance.

The player: Tanner Groves (F/C) CRN  $277,000
The moment: The moments for Groves were the 4 fouls in only 7 minutes of game time. Initially someone of great interest with the Cairns Taipans starting two consecutive weeks of double-game rounds, this score of 12 SuperCoach may scare some people away as it will be factored into his first price change.

The player: Montrezl Harrell (F/C) ADL $277,000
The moment: The moment Harrell came off the bench for Adelaide he once again asserted himself. Although his minutes have currently been capped in the low 20’s, his 35 SuperCoach points this week will likely see him as one of the most traded in players for the round. Please be mindful that as an injury replacement player that you may need a contingency to trade him out of your team at short notice. However, if he is here for the next two rounds of Adelaide fixtures, we think he will be worth the trade in.

The player: Sam Waardenburg (F/C) CRN $225,600
The moment: We think the definitive moments for Waardenburg were those 4 fouls to Tanner Groves. Sam was certainly the main benefactor, playing a massive 37 minutes against the 36ers. His 50 SuperCoach points will certainly stand out to those looking at bringing in a snake; but for those bitten last season, he may be overlooked by many.

The player: Will Magnay (F/C) TAS $317,400
The moment: Taking the court having not had to enter the concussion protocols was the key moment for Will Magnay. He went on to dominate with a double-double and 5 blocked shots on his way to 56 SuperCoach points. This consolidated himself as a trade target for Round 3.

The player: Tyler Harvey (G) ILL $280,400
The moment: The first moment for SuperCoach owners was one to forget. Tyler Harvey finished the first quarter statless and went on to accrue just 1 SuperCoach point at the half. The moment that mattered though was Harvey’s game breaking three with a minute to go to sink the Sydney Kings, which contributed to a SuperCoach save for owners. Tyler finished the game with 27 SuperCoach points, thanks to an impressive take over in the second half.

The player: Cam Oliver (F/C) SYD $292,100
The moment: Oliver checked in off the bench three minutes into the game, only to pick up 3 fouls within the first three and half minutes of court time. Owners would have normally accepted his inevitable benching for the remainder of the half sitting on just 4 SuperCoach points, only for Coach Goorjian to throw caution to the wind and put his trust in the Kings big man by sending him back in with six minutes remaining in the second quarter. Cam would not commit another foul for the remainder of the game, salvaging 26 SuperCoach points and finishing with 57 points for the round.

The player: Derrick Walton Jr (G) SEM $336,100
The moment: You would think the former Grand Final MVP would enjoy playing the team that he won that award against, but this was not the case against the New Zealand Breakers. In a match where Nathan Sobey was on various occasions, single handedly trying to win and lose the game for the Phoenix, this was a meek display from Walton resulting in 6 SuperCoach points and a 20.8k price drop. For the success of the Phoenix and for the success of his SuperCoach NBL prospects, we would like to see the ball in Walton’s hands far more often than we did on this outing.

The player: Parker Jackson-Cartwright (G) NZ $421,200
The moment: When a 5-11 guy has a blocked shot on his way to 51 SuperCoach points, that is a pretty definitive moment. If he wasn’t already, PJC is must add in round 5; and you need to start planning about how you are going to make this happen.
